The new album, Ora Pro Nobis out now
Starting in Edinburgh as a fun/covers band in 1994, the band soon progressed into original material with their own mix of melody, form and force. After changing line-ups to improve all over playing skills and live performances the band has settled as a four piece with quality material and a kick-ass live attitude. The years from 2000 saw the band consolidating this live performance ethic with performances to ever growing audiences, in the UK and Germany, as well as hearing them play songs live on radio as well as local TV. Support slots include older well-established acts such as Nazareth, Dianno and Wishbone Ash as well as more contemporary acts such as MT-TV/ Rock Bitch. Up until 2006, the band were taking their wares around the U.K., working hard to expand their burgeoning fan base, pushing their third independent CD. Each CD showing more maturity, confidence, musicality and a growing grip on their own style and blend: Too rock to be metal: too metal to be rock - you will find Read It And Weep at that point where aggression meets melody. Among their influences Read It And Weep can include Metal Church, Megadeth, Santana, Led Zeppelin, Primus, Skunk Anansie, Sepultura, Slayer, Metallica, Black Sabbath, baroque dance forms and romantic composers. |
